This album allows me to chart my interests as a musician. I'm a pianist and compose as a pianist. I began in classical, folk, moved to jazz and tango, and then electronic. I will always be indebted to the record label ECM for giving me an example of a "perfect" aesthetic and validating a direction for me to move artistically that is flexible in terms of genre, and I hope some of the sounds I have explored here can measure up to such professional and beautiful results. This summer I became interested in sample-based synthesis, granular synthesis, frequency modulation synthesis, and physical-modeling synthesis. I'm also inspired by tape music and minimalist composers such as Steve Reich and Arvo Pärt. This album particularly features harmonies sequenced in the Samplr app and granular synth melodies from the iPulsaret app.
